Sonder

Sonder: The realization that every person is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.

Every person has their own thoughts, their own friends, their own problems, routines, worries, ambitions and craziness. You are but a small blur in the crazy traffic, a person reading a book in the library, the lonely coffee drinker they pass everyday on there way to work. You are just one part of the elaborate passageways of hundreds of people that they see everyday. Hundreds of lives that you will never even know, you may meet them on day in the future, but for know you are just that person that sits and drinks coffee at the coffee shop on Park lane. You will never know what the life of that person is like there problems and troubles, their hopes and dreams, their daily rituals and routines. But you still Sonder about them even though you will possibly never know anything about them at all.

Hillary Clinton's Debate evaluation

During my evaluation of my Gr.12 student Hillary I noticed that she had very good counter arguments that were strongly worded. She responded well to what Donald and the moderator had to say and was prepared for all the questions. She remained calm and respectful while the opponent and the moderator was talking and did not speak while others were talking. Hillary was very considerate in her opponent's perspective and was respectful. Her content was good but her argument could have been stronger if she focused on what she could do for the country. Hillary showed that she was respectful and had good speaking strategies by using no harsh language and having only a few personal attacks that were not very important but other than those few issues her debate was very clean and respectful. Hillary could have performed better using appropriate words and phrases during one part of the debate she fell apart laughing about “being blamed for everything” and she did not look or act very presidential. Other than that her wording and phrases were well spoken. She demonstrated good facial expression, eye movements and gestures. She was very open and looked around the room. She could have emphasized points better and used a higher volume for when accenting points. Over all Hilary performed very well though she had some issues her overall presentation was very good and she brought important issues and solutions.

This debate was very different from discussions I have had it was a little more organized and controlled except for when Hillary was laughing and making “jokes.” It was also only two people discussing things rather than about 19. I think that it was similar at times because Trump and Clinton were yelling at each other and Trump was interrupting and when we did the discussion at red pine everyone was yelling and interrupting and it was very chaotic which was similar to some times in the debate. I think that I could learn to be more open and look around when I am speaking such as Hillary did in the debate. But I can also learn not to start laughing and going off topic while debating or presenting.
